ABOUT ROCK AGAINST RACISM

Rock Against Racism emerged in 1976 as a political and cultural movement in response to a rise in racist attacks in the United Kingdom.

Over the years, the movement has organized festivals, tours, gigs, and clubs to bring together music fans of all races and discourage the embrace of racism among young people.

The iconic open-air concert in April 1978, featuring renowned acts like The Clash and Steel Pulse, marked one of the biggest music-focused anti-racism efforts to date.

Reignited in the USA in 2020 after the murder of George Floyd, Rock Against Racism continues its crucial work as a non-profit organization, aiming to use music and creativity as a bridge to honor intercultural differences and create racial justice.
